Lite-on คือ Drive ใหม่ของ Xbox360 ที่ผ่านๆมา ทำได้แค่ ดึงเอา drive-key มาใส่ drive ตัวใหม่ ทำให้ราคาของเครื่องสูงขึ้นมาระยะหนึ่งแล้ว แต่ตอนนี้ ก็เร็ยบร้อยโรงเรียน Hacker แล้วครับ คงจะได้เห็นเครื่อง Xbox360 ราคาถูกลง ซะที ขณะนี้กำลังทำการ beta test หรือทดสอบกันอยู่ คาดว่า จะมีออกมาให้ใช้กันในเร็วๆ นี้ครับ

สรุปได้ประมาณนี้นะครับ firmware ที่ว่าคือ ixtreme 1.5 เป็น firmware ป้องกันการแบนที่เพิ่มเติมส่วนการป้องกันที่แน่นหนาขึ้น โดย firmware ตัวนี้จะออกให้กับ Drive ทุกตัว รวมถึง drive ใหม่อย่าง lite-on ด้วย

การแปลง lite-on วิธีเดิมโดยใช้ drive อื่นมาปลอมตัวเป็น lite-on หรือที่เรียกว่า spoofing สามารถโดนตรวจสอบได้โดยง่าย แต่ยังไม่มีการยืนยันว่า การทำ spoof จะทำให้โดนแบน เพียงแต่ว่า สามารถ detect ได้เท่านั้น

ตอนนี้เท่าที่ทำการทดสอบไป firmware ตัวใหม่ทำงานได้ดีไม่มีปัญหาเดิมๆ อย่างที่เคยเกิดขึ้น และ แจ้งออกมาว่า firmware ตัวนี้จะออกมาก่อน X'mas นี้ ซึ่งก็อีกไม่เกิน 3 สัปดาห์นะครับ ก็ได้แต่ลุ้นให้ออกมาไวๆ จะได้เล่นกันแบบประหยัดแถมปลอดภัยซะที

update  ตอนนี้ ออกมาแล้วครับ ทดลองแล้ว work จริงๆ
